Tree Talk Plus provides training support to farmers with the intention of increasing agricultural productivity in the Cereals Value Chain. Our major cereal is maize (corn). We encourage farmers to grow pest/drought resistant maize varieties on sizable scale to ensure there is enough for the whole family to harvest for food and also as a cash crop. In order to foster sustainable community agriculture development, we integrate the crop with trees in an agroforestry system. We encourage farmers to form groups for bulking and easy access to markets.
