Gaster Kiyingi, Team Leader
Gaster is an Environment and Natural Resources Communications Specialist, with over 20 years of communications in environment and natural resources. Gaster has worked with various organisations in the fields of public relations, communication, and knowledge management. Gaster has previously worked with the Forest Sector Support Department of the Ministry of Water and Environment, and in his role as Public Relations Manager for the National Forestry Authority he made huge contributions to raising awareness on the plight of key forest ecosystems in Uganda including a robust campaign in saving Mabira Firest from being given away to sugar cane growing.
Jonathan Kisakye, Programmes Director
Jonathan is community development specialist, with speciality in benefit sharing for vulnerable forest dependent groups. He has worked on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services restoration in agricultural landscapes, targeting tobacco farmer in Northern Uganda. Has experience in landscapes climate change vulnerability assessments and engagement of the youth to raise their intellectual ability to discern climate change issues. He has experience working in the areas of Payment for Ecosystem Services through community livelihood projects using nature based approaches. He has a passion for you empowerment
